When Verizon acquired Tracfone Wireless, Total Wireless became Total by Verizon and needed an intuitive online experience to accompany its relaunch. While at Razorfish, I worked on a team of designers, UX strategists, and copywriters to transform the existing components and structure as the Straight Talk redesign, but with the unique Total by Verizon look & feel and business requirements. It also meets Verizon’s user experience guidelines and standards.
Inherited from the Straight Talk redesign, the online shopping experience is intuitive to users and makes everything from purchasing a new phone to refilling a plan simple and easy.
Managing wireless service can be confusing, especially when multiple lines and users come into play. Total by Verizon’s account management portal gives users the power to check their usage, manage lines, check payments, upgrade service, and more, all without making a single phone call.
The design system — similarly to those of Tracfone and Straight Talk — is based on modular components, rather than individually-coded pages. Updated to the Total by Verizon look & feel, the components also follow Verizon’s guidelines for digital design.
